Education

I received my Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Oakland University and my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan in Clinical Social Work, specializing in interpersonal practice and mental health.

Clinical Experience

Since earning my MSW, I have provided psychotherapy and case management services to children, adolescents, adults, and families in Oakland, Wayne, and Saginaw counties. My clinical experiences have allowed me the opportunity to support individuals from diverse backgrounds in outpatient and community settings.

Therapeutic Practice/Style

My therapeutic practice/style is strengths-based, relational, and rooted in holistic wellness and trauma-informed care. I work specifically with women and offer a safe environment for self-exploration and the development of collaborative treatment goals that are tailored to the specific hopes, strengths, and needs of each client. I place an emphasis on an eclectic approach that is supportive of the mind-body connection, and provides creative interventions for varying learning and communication styles. Some of the therapeutic techniques I utilize include attachment-based psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.

Areas of Specialty

Maggie works specifically with women and specializes in ADHD, LGBTQ+ and nonbinary individuals, trauma, life transitions, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, maternal mental health, depression, anxiety, identity issues, women’s issues, and relationship issues.
