Education and Experience

I completed a Masters degree in Social Work with a concentration in cognitive behavioral interventions. Throughout my social work education, I have worked with many diverse clients in an interpersonal capacity, working both as an interning psychotherapist in private practice, and as an interning counselor at a short-term inpatient substance use detoxification facility. I also am a father, who understands the challenges associated with having or planning for children, as well as challenges faced by children themselves.

Therapeutic Style and Specialty Areas

I consider myself to be a keen listener who focuses on a strong collaboration with my clients. As a cognitive behavioral therapist, I help clients manage difficult thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I specialize in working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). My other specialty areas include working with kids and teens, parenting challenges, fathers (especially new fathers), couples, and substance use disorders. I welcome any and all who may feel that I can help.
